Charley Raiff

Raiff’s personal journey of a narrow escape from the urban underbelly serves as the fodder for his uniquely dark sound. A talented musician and composer, Charley has an energy that is captured in all its density in his debut album “in Persona”. The stories Raiff tells in his songs are brimming with the bustling and manic overtones of the City. The lyrics have been called acerbic, urbane, and profound.
He currently resides in his hometown of NYC, operating in a studio format in Lower Manhattan.

Singer, Songwriter, Composer and Producer Charley Raiff is currently working in creative frameworks with Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun/Pnau,) Henry Hey (David Bowie, George Michael,) Nic Hard (Snarky Puppy,) and up and coming talents.

“His songs are just incredible, a fresh voice and vision. He sings the f*** outta these songs, and I miss that in a lotta wimpy-non-committal-vocal-rock I hear these days. With music as rich as his there is always lots to talk about.”
- Stew (Singer-songwriter of Stew and the Negro Problem & Tony-Award winning writer and lead of musical Passing Strange)

“There is something about the dark and fragile part of his musical soul that I find really beautiful”
- Nick Littlemore (known for Electro Pop duo Empire of the Sun and Pnau and producer for Elton John, Robbie Williams, and Ellie Goulding)

“He has a really unique style that’ll really work for him.”
- Rachel Z (pianist for Wayne Shorter and musical collaborator with Omar Hakim)

“He writes beautiful stuff!”
– Dave Douglas (Grammy-nominated composer, trumpeter and entrepreneur)
